History records would reveal that the first people to play games were other bored people who watched TV. Later, masters of the game targeted the games to children, who became addicted to them. Still later, the addiction spread among adults, and is basically no longer curable.

Fast forward into the 2000s. With the advent of the Internet, advances in software technology, and the visual effects of more recent consoles like PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, computer games suddenly bloomed.
