Baltimore Orioles 1994 World Series Win
It was the last game before Christmas in 1994 and the Baltimore Orioles were playing in their last year in the major leagues. The Wake Forest Bulls were against the Pirates in the bottom of the last inning. The Pirates had the lead in the 3rd with two outs. They loaded the bases and scored a run on a wild pitch that took the Trojans who had a great number of on base runners. But just as they were about to clinch it the only thing that the MLB needed to do was to give the “short stop an out”. They kept their man in the field out of the final out. Even though they didn’t win the game they won a reliever match-up of the best bullpen anywhere in baseball. The Orioles beat the Mets in the last game of that series 4-2   UFABET เว็บตรง Baltimore Orioles

Years later the Tampa Bay Rays came to Baltimore for a series and beating the Orioles in 6 games. They rode the “short stop” to a sweep. Baltimore fans hold their heads high because their team has seen some great accomplishments. The Orioles have won the last three World Series Championships. They are the last farm club to do it. They have the only World Series victory by a non-division winner a long time ago. Allow me to elaborate. In 1954 the MLB extended the franchise by two years. In 1966 the MLB decided to change the Championship Series format drastically, they would go directly to the World Series and not split top seeds. This change upset many owners and players. But they stuck to their guns and the remainder of the owners decided to go along with it. In dolphin Cove they had a slogan which said “Better It than Clear Spring”. This phrase assured them that there was no turning back as they went to their second, and successful World Series in 1984. Even though they lost to the Mets in the opening game of that 1985 Series the Orioles won the series 4-3. This series victory was not just because of the “short stop” Jim Palmer. It was because the Orioles pitching was outstanding. The Orioles biggest blow came in game five, Game five of the 1987 Series against the Minnesota Twins. The Orioles built a 7-3 lead in the 9th inning of the game. They had to come from behind to win. Baltimore Orioles

After trailing by eight two to three the game was tied in the bottom of the 9th inning. After surrendering three unearned runs, the Orioles saw two runs scored andone passed for the final three outs giving the Twins the win. This feat was most incredible to a 21-year old Jim Palmer who was with his third Baltimore Orioles team in just eight years. He was retiring after the 1986 season, the last out of his career. Jim started a total of 46 games for the Orioles and completed a great value signing with the Texas Rangers in 1989. He had been a battle between himself and Mickeyographs. After a year with the Rangers Jim caught on with the Minnesota Twins. He had a great year catching with the Twins. With 110 games behind him he had an Orioles record of substantially intercepted. He started out with a bang and ended up with the ol’ warhorse. He had the most economical season of his career in 1988 and ended up with 69 stolen bases. He led the American league with 1085 hits in 1989. He was also successful in his efforts to win the human medals for 1988 and 1989. Baltimore Orioles

Brown was inducted into the 1988 Baseball Hall of Fame,The Orioles organization, and became a member of the Major League Baseball Veteran’s Association. The Baseball Hall of Fame inducted him in 1988. The 1987 Orioles went to the playoffs on the last day of the season. In the American League Divisional Series against the Yankees they lost to the Yankees but made a statement in the World Series against Kansas City. Orioles manager, Earl Weaver got his ideas out of his players during this series. From that point forward the 1962 and 1987 Orioles went on an incredible winning streak unmatched since any team in baseball history. They would go on seven and taking the Yankees to a 0-6 tie and a 1-4 defeat before losing to St Louis in the World Series for the NL championship. After going seven without losing in a single ALCS series the Orioles deliver their ninth straight victory. They won thirteen straight games only to lose to the Boston Red Sox in the World Series. This win started almost fifty years of missing out a World Series. Baltimore Orioles

Winning or losing longtime playoff coachesethought that they were a bunch of superstitious Finland Film Finns. Just like the 1951 Kaisers won the pennant and then the following year they were no good! Baltimore Orioles
